We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to oversee and enhance the accounts payable operations for our logistics team in Franklin, Tennessee. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing AP processes, coding invoices, and ensuring timely and accurate payment procedures. You will play a vital role in maintaining compliance and improving efficiency within the department.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and guide the accounts payable team to ensure smooth daily operations
Review and code invoices accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies
Manage and oversee check runs, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors
Facilitate Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and monitor related processes
Collaborate with other departments to address discrepancies and resolve payment issues
Maintain and update records of accounts payable transactions for auditing purposes
Develop and implement strategies to optimize AP workflows and improve efficiency
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company financial policies
Provide training and support to team members for continuous improvement
Generate and analyze reports to monitor key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including supervisory or managerial roles
Proficiency in coding invoices and managing payment processes such as check runs and ACH transactions
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Familiarity with accounting software and tools used in AP workflows
Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams
Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for process improvement
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
