Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute valuable insights and recommendations to improve processes.

Job Responsibility:

Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and accuracy
perform account coding and reconcile discrepancies efficiently
handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and manage check runs
monitor and maintain accounts payable records with precision
collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the accounts payable cycle
provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and streamline operations
communicate effectively with vendors to resolve payment issues
generate reports and maintain documentation for auditing purposes
support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including processing invoices and payments
strong knowledge of account coding and invoice coding procedures
familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs
high attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies effectively
excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions
proficiency in accounting software and tools
ability to work collaboratively and contribute process improvement ideas
