Accounts Payable Specialist

• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding and approvals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Manage vendor payments through Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers and check runs in a timely manner
• Review and reconcile account coding to maintain proper financial records
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements for accounts payable operations
• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all payment activities
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company procedures
• Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies proactively
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Generate reports and provide insights on accounts payable performance metrics
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

• Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment processing
• Proficiency in handling Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and reconcile account coding
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and team members
• Ability to work independently and make recommendations for process improvements
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred
