Job Description:

This long-term contract position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient processing of payments, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting financial operations across the U.S. and Canada. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable processes, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering timely and accurate results.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process and post accounts payable transactions, including scanning and data entry for U.S. and Canadian operations
  • Manage purchase order activities such as matching POs, applying taxes and freight charges, and processing related transactions
  • Audit and process employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and accuracy
  • Monitor vendor accounts to maintain data integrity and resolve discrepancies or questionable invoices
  • Provide accounts payable support to field offices across multiple regions, ensuring smooth financial operations
  • Share weekly payment processing responsibilities, including mid-week expense reimbursements
  • Alternate duties related to check processing and payment distribution for U.S. and Canadian operations
  • Prepare and distribute necessary files and reports for internal and external audits
  • Investigate payment issues, manage stop-payment requests, and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Utilize Oracle systems to enhance efficiency in accounts payable functions and collaborate across organizational levels

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles
  • Strong understanding of general accounting practices, including accrual accounting and account coding
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools, including Oracle and Oracle Fusion
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) processes and financial services systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience with ADP financial services systems is a plus
