Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing high-volume invoice processing, ensuring accurate payments, and optimizing workflows. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment while implementing process improvements and strengthening internal controls.

Job Responsibility:

Process and review a high volume of invoices with accuracy and efficiency
Utilize AvidXchange and Concur systems for invoice approvals, expense reporting, and payment processing
Identify and resolve discrepancies in invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies
Improve accounts payable workflows by streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency
Analyze and implement solutions to address control gaps, boosting accuracy and reducing cycle times
Perform general ledger coding and manage accruals to maintain financial accuracy
Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely payments and effective vendor management
Generate reports and provide insights to support financial decision-making
Conduct check runs and manage ACH payment processing
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support overall accounting operations

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable within a high-volume environment
Proficient in AvidXchange and Concur systems with hands-on experience in invoice processing and expense management
Strong knowledge of general ledger coding, accruals, and vendor management
Demonstrated ability to streamline workflows and implement process improvements
Exceptional attention to detail with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Skilled in Excel and comfortable navigating accounting systems
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
Familiarity with ACH payments and check run processes
