Accounts Payable Specialist

• Support audit preparation by organizing financial documents and ensuring all required materials are uploaded and ready
• Process accounts payable tasks such as entering data, coding invoices, and mailing checks
• Manage donation entries by accurately recording and coding incoming checks in the accounting system
• Utilize accounting software to organize letter templates and department folders
• Assist with miscellaneous accounting projects to ensure department efficiency
• Coordinate outreach efforts related to financial data and donor communications
• Ensure smooth check runs and payment processing, including ACH transactions
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions and documentation

• Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice coding and check mailing
• Familiarity with non-profit software or similar accounting platforms
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of ACH transactions and general payment processing procedures
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial data entry
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and departments
• All candidates must undergo drug and background screening for consideration

Previous experience in non-profit accounting is a plus
