Accounts Payable Specialist

• Accurately process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Perform three-way matching by verifying invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Assign invoices to the correct general ledger accounts and maintain accurate records
• Reconcile vendor statements, promptly resolving any discrepancies or payment issues
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments
• Update and maintain vendor records, such as W-9 forms and payment terms
• Contribute to month-end closing tasks, including preparing accruals and financial reports
• Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure proper documentation and approvals
• Support internal audits by organizing and providing necessary documentation
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations

• At least 2 years of accounts payable experience, ideally within manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors
• Proficiency in handling purchase orders and inventory-related transactions
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits
• Experience working with large-scale ERP systems is preferred
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and basic formulas
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to resolve vendor issues professionally

Preferred experience in metals, industrial supply, or distribution industries is a plus
