Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and supporting audit preparation. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable processes and demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills.

Job Responsibility:

Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently to ensure timely payments
Support audit preparation by gathering and organizing relevant financial documents
Perform account reconciliations, including bank and cash reconciliations, to maintain financial accuracy
Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper recording of financial data
Assist with accruals and other month-end closing activities
Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports
Work within Dynamics NAV to manage and track accounts payable activities
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve payment processes
Maintain compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with Dynamics NAV or similar accounting software
Strong understanding of financial processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
Ability to handle a high volume of invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
Experience supporting audit preparation and working with auditors
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying solutions
