Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Full-Time Engagement Professional (FTEP) team. In this role, you are a full-time Robert Half employee, earning a competitive salary along with comprehensive benefits, overtime eligibility, and bonus opportunities. As a Full-Time Engagement Professional, you will support medium- to long-term client engagements, giving you exposure to new systems, industries, and accounting challenges. Even between assignments, you’ll continue to receive a paycheck while building new technical and professional skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys stepping into new environments, tackling complex projects, and helping organizations improve or stabilize their accounting operations.

Job Responsibility:

Match, batch, code, and enter invoices
Post and reconcile AP batches
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Use Excel (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) to analyze data

Requirements:

3+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience
Strong Excel skills
Experience with large ERP/accounting systems
Adaptability and eagerness to learn
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable roles
Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
Familiarity with large accounting systems and their processes
Strong ability to adapt to new environments and learn quickly
Proven experience with full-cycle accounts payable, including high-volume invoice handling
Knowledge of three-way matching, batching, and coding invoices
Understanding of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
