Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a part-time contract basis. This position is based in San Francisco, California, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in managing high-volume invoice processing, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

Handle daily management of the accounts payable inbox, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and efficient triage
Process a high volume of invoices monthly, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Collaborate with business owners to address invoice discrepancies and resolve coding issues
Ensure proper entry, routing, and approval of invoices, followed by timely payment processing
Support platform transitions and system upgrades to optimize accounts payable operations
Assist the Senior Accountant in executing special projects and improving processes
Maintain thorough documentation and audit trails for all accounts payable activities
Monitor and refine accounts payable workflows to ensure compliance and efficiency
Provide proactive communication and updates to relevant stakeholders regarding invoice statuses
Participate in initiatives aimed at streamlining financial operations within the organization

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable within SaaS or high-volume environments
Familiarity with invoice coding, ACH payments, and check runs
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Experience with Ramp is highly preferred, along with extensive experience with Excel
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
Reliable and proactive approach to handling accounts payable responsibilities
Comfort working in a startup or small business finance environment
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams
