Accounts Payable Specialist

• Process a large volume of invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and timely payments across multiple entities
• Manage vendor relationships, including setting up new vendors and addressing inquiries
• Perform full-cycle accounts payable tasks, including general ledger postings and payment processing
• Execute weekly payment runs through various methods such as wires, foreign exchange, credit cards, and checks
• Handle 1099 preparation and compliance requirements effectively
• Perform currency exchange transactions as part of payment processing
• Collaborate with team members on job sharing and cross-training initiatives
• Utilize internal invoicing systems to manage invoice queues and maintain accurate records
• Support system upgrades and transitions, including software conversions when necessary
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all accounts payable activities

• Proven experience with high-volume accounts payable operations
• Strong knowledge of 1099 preparation and compliance
• Familiarity with general ledger postings and account coding
• Proficiency in processing payments via ACH, wires, checks, and foreign exchange
• Expertise in coding invoices and managing invoice queues
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment with cross-training responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience with accounting software, such as Sage Intacct, is a plus
