We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Duluth, Georgia. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing vendor invoices, processing payments, and ensuring accurate financial documentation. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial efficiency and integrity of the organization while working in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Review and verify incoming invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and completeness
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure consistency
Enter invoice details into the accounting system promptly and with precision
Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Prepare payment batches for approval and ensure timely processing of payments
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate financial records
Generate accounts payable reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls during payment cycles
Investigate and resolve issues related to invoices, payments, or vendor accounts
Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for invoices and payment records
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software, including SAP, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Ability to process vendor invoices, post payments, and manage full-cycle accounts payable
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams
Solid understanding of financial regulations, compliance standards, and internal controls
Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and payment issues
Familiarity with data entry, invoice processing, and payment reconciliation procedures
Nice to have:
Ideal candidate would have worked with a Shared Services System and ticketed method
