Job Description:

We are looking for an organized and meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a Contract basis in Amelia, Ohio. In this role, you will oversee vital financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in vendor payments and account management. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within the dynamic financial services industry, contributing to both day-to-day operations and long-term process improvements.

Job Responsibility:

Manage vendor onboarding, including setup, approvals, and updates to ensure accurate payment processing
process vendor invoices, including regular, electronic, intercompany, and Concur accounts payable requests
respond to inquiries from business partners, providing timely and effective support
conduct ad-hoc analysis and research to assist in financial decision-making
act as a subject matter expert in process improvement initiatives to optimize workflow
verify the accuracy of payable checks and ensure proper documentation
ensure compliance with governmental filing requirements and regulations
monitor adherence to internal controls, documenting relevant accounting processes and guidelines
develop expertise in insurance and accounting principles through training and ongoing development opportunities.

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable, including vendor management and payment processing
strong knowledge of account coding and invoice coding practices
familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs
excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
proficiency in financial systems and tools used in accounts payable processes
knowledge of compliance standards and governmental filing requirements
strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
