Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Livermore, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will ensure compliance with company policies and support key production operations by maintaining efficient workflows and resolving discrepancies.

Job Responsibility:

Process a high volume of invoices, including matching, batching, and coding, to ensure accuracy
Maintain and update vendor records while addressing any discrepancies promptly
Reconcile vendor statements and contribute to month-end closing activities
Collaborate with procurement, inventory, and production teams to facilitate payment approvals
Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with industry regulations
Handle manufacturing-specific tasks such as three-way matching for purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
Utilize accounting software, such as Epicor, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365, to manage accounts payable processes effectively
Identify and resolve issues related to inventory-related payables
Prepare and execute payment runs, including ACH transfers and check distributions

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to meet deadlines efficiently
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills with the ability to address vendor and team inquiries
Familiarity with three-way matching processes and inventory-related payables
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
Knowledge of payment methods, including ACH and check processing
Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and streamline workflows
