We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a fully onsite team in Exton, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-focused, and comfortable managing high-volume invoice processing and account reconciliation work in a fast-paced accounting environment. The person in this role will support daily payables operations, respond to vendor questions, and help maintain accurate financial records across multiple systems.
Job Responsibility
Process vendor invoices each day, assigning accurate general ledger coding and posting transactions to the appropriate accounting period
Maintain alignment between accounts payable records and the general ledger by reviewing aging reports, cash activity, and related account balances
Investigate and resolve payment, invoice, and account questions from vendors and internal team members using standard business communication tools
Record bank activity and support cash account maintenance by ensuring transactions are properly reflected in the accounting system
Prepare journal entries and assist with routine accounting updates needed to keep financial records complete and accurate
Perform book-to-bank and other account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and support timely resolution
Contribute to weekly and monthly close activities, including account true-ups and reconciliation support
Handle additional accounts payable and accounting assignments as needed to support team priorities
Requirements
Hands-on experience in accounts payable, including invoice entry, account coding, and payment processing
Working knowledge of reconciliation practices for accounts payable, bank activity, and general ledger balances
Experience using Sage 100 or a similar accounting platform in a transaction-heavy environment
Familiarity with ACH payments, check runs, and standard disbursement processes
Ability to prepare journal entries and support period-end close activities with accuracy and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills for responding to vendors and collaborating with internal teams
Comfortable working onsite in Exton, Pennsylvania on a permanent 40-hour-per-week schedule
