Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone with a strong background in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of payments and records. Job Responsibility:

Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate coding and timely payment
Manage accounts payable functions, including ACH transactions and check runs
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Maintain detailed records of transactions and ensure proper documentation for audits
Handle vendor communications and inquiries related to payments
Conduct regular reviews of accounts payable to identify and address any errors or anomalies
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all financial operations
Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable
Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency of accounts payable processes

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
Proficiency in coding invoices and managing ACH transactions
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records
Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Familiarity with accounting software and tools
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations
