Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Greer, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone with a strong background in invoice processing, account coding, and payment transactions. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and ensure accuracy in all accounts payable activities.

Job Responsibility:

Process and code invoices accurately and efficiently to maintain financial records
Manage accounts payable transactions, including Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs
Ensure proper account coding and compliance with organizational standards
Reconcile discrepancies in invoices and resolve payment issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with internal teams to verify and approve payment requests
Generate and analyze reports using tools like pivot tables and VLOOKUP in Excel
Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all accounts payable activities
Adhere to deadlines for payment cycles while ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role
Proficiency in processing invoices, account coding, and payment transactions
Strong knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in resolving invoice discrepancies
Familiarity with financial documentation and audit preparation processes
