Accounts Payable Specialist

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payments
• Enter invoice data into accounting systems while adhering to established policies and procedures
• Manage invoice approvals, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Perform general ledger reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Conduct audits of accounts payable transactions to identify discrepancies and maintain compliance
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks to track and analyze financial data
• Handle manual invoice processing tasks and resolve related issues
• Support check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment processes
• Ensure proper coding of invoices and account coding for accurate bookkeeping
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable operations

• Proven experience in accounts payable processes and financial transactions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks, with the ability to navigate and use accounting software effectively
• Familiarity with general ledger reconciliations and financial auditing
• Knowledge of invoice coding and account coding procedures
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of invoices
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for coordinating approvals and resolving discrepancies

Background in the trucking industry is preferred but not required
