We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Livermore, California. In this contract role (potentially contract to hire), you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor accounts within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Your work will play a vital role in supporting operations and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Job Responsibility:
Process a high volume of invoices by performing tasks such as batching, coding, and matching with purchase orders
Maintain and update vendor records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly
Reconcile vendor statements and contribute to the month-end close process
Collaborate with procurement, inventory, and production teams to secure approvals for payments
Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with industry regulations
Address manufacturing-specific challenges, including three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
Utilize accounting software, such as Epicor or Microsoft D365, to manage accounts payable workflows efficiently
Conduct check runs and execute Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments
Identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline accounts payable operations
Support audits and provide documentation as required
Requirements:
Previous experience in accounts payable, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage deadlines effectively
Proficiency in accounting software and tools, including Epicor, Oracle, or Microsoft D365
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve issues collaboratively
Familiarity with payment processing methods such as ACH and check runs
Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team
Knowledge of industry-specific processes, including inventory-related payables and three-way matching
