Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely payment processing while supporting the operational needs of our growing healthcare technology initiatives. Job Responsibility:

Process monthly physician payments, ensuring accuracy and maintaining detailed records
Identify and address discrepancies between invoices and contracts using an AI-driven invoice-matching program, conducting manual research when necessary
Provide operational support for accounts payable processes, bridging toward future technical improvements
Code and process invoices accurately in alignment with organizational standards
Facilitate payment transactions through ACH and check runs, ensuring compliance with established procedures
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment issues and streamline processes
Utilize Tipalti AP platform for payment processing and reporting, with training provided if necessary
Assist in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Support ad hoc accounts payable tasks as needed to meet business objectives

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable or related financial roles
Strong proficiency in invoice coding and payment processing
Familiarity with ACH transactions and check run processes
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in payment records
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams

Nice to have:

Experience with Tipalti or similar AP platforms is a plus
Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in accounts payable
