Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Loan Staff Practice. As a full-time employee of Robert Half, you’ll work as a consultant providing accounting support to a dedicated client base. This role offers the stability of full-time employment with the variety of consulting assignments. You’ll support clients with day-to-day accounts payable operations while gaining experience across different industries and systems.
Job Responsibility:
Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Review and verify invoices, coding, and approvals prior to processing
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation (three-way match)
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Maintain vendor records and ensure proper documentation is on file
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or payment issues
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong vendor relationships
Assist with month-end close by preparing AP accruals and reconciliation schedules
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Support audit requests and assist with documentation as needed
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience with invoice processing and vendor management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Experience with ERP or accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, QuickBooks, etc.)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
Experience processing high-volume invoices
Experience with purchase order-based AP environments
Knowledge of 1099 reporting and vendor compliance
Experience working with automated AP systems or workflow tools
Exposure to multiple industries or accounting systems
