Accounts Payable Specialist

• Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
• perform coding of invoices and review purchase orders for proper documentation
• handle weekly accounts payable tasks, including check runs and payment processing
• conduct three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
• utilize Microsoft Excel to create and manage formulas for financial tracking
• maintain organized records of payable invoices and relevant documentation
• collaborate with departments to resolve discrepancies in invoices or payments
• ensure timely completion of all accounts payable functions, meeting deadlines consistently
• assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities
• support process improvements to enhance efficiency in the accounts payable workflow.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and coding
• familiarity with three-way matching and purchase order verification
• proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and managing formulas
• strong organizational skills to maintain accurate and detailed financial records
• ability to meet deadlines and handle weekly payment cycles effectively
• excellent problem-solving skills to address invoice discrepancies
• strong communication skills to liaise with internal departments and vendors
• prior experience in the paper or packaging industry is a plus, but not required.
