Robert Half is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Loan Staff Practice, where professionals are permanent Robert Half employees dedicated to supporting long-term client engagements. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will support client accounting teams with day-to-day AP operations while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal controls and deadlines.
Job Responsibility:
Process high-volume invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments accurately and timely
Perform three-way matching and resolve invoice discrepancies
Maintain vendor records and respond to internal and external inquiries
Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs (ACH, wire, check)
Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations
Assist with audits by providing documentation and support as needed
Collaborate with client accounting, procurement, and finance teams
Adapt quickly to new systems, processes, and client environments
Requirements:
2+ years of accounts payable experience
Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, Great Plains, QuickBooks)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Solid Excel skills (lookup functions, pivot tables a plus)
Professional communication skills and a client-service mindset
Nice to have:
Experience in multiple industries or consulting environments
Exposure to process improvements or AP automation tools
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
