Accounts Payable Specialist

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices quickly and accurately using QuickBooks Online
• Perform detailed three-way matching to ensure alignment between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
• Accurately code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts
• Manage weekly check runs, Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers, and wire payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address any discrepancies to maintain strong relationships
• Keep digital records of invoices and related documentation well-organized and up-to-date
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing accounts payable accruals
• Respond to vendor inquiries in a thorough and timely manner to resolve issues efficiently
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide updates on payment statuses and address expense-related questions
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies and internal financial controls

• At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of invoices with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with a detail-oriented and courteous demeanor
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with functions and formulas
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Prior experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
