Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client in Sparks, Nevada. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the service industry. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage accounts payable processes efficiently while fostering strong vendor relationships and ensuring accurate financial transactions.

Job Responsibility:

Manage accounts payable functions across multiple entities using Sage and other accounting software
Review and optimize workflow processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues
Process invoices and payments accurately, adhering to company policies and procedures
Verify purchase orders, pricing, payment terms, and additional charges to ensure correctness
Perform coding and entry of manual checks, recurring payments, and organizational expenses
Oversee the renewal and maintenance of business licenses for several entities
Provide support for inventory impound processes and related tasks
Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
Handle additional duties as assigned to support the accounts payable department

Requirements:

Associate's degree or a minimum of three years of experience in accounts payable roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general office equipment
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and theories
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively based on urgency
Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and teamwork to achieve department goals
Self-motivated and proactive in completing tasks without reminders
Detail-oriented approach and willingness to adapt and grow with the team
