Job Description:

Our client in Houston, TX is seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager to lead and oversee financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive expertise in managing high-volume AP and AR processes, as well as a track record of driving efficiency and implementing process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles to support the Shared Services team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and streamline processes within the Shared Services department
  • Lead the implementation of software tools and systems to enhance financial operations and reporting
  • Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to encourage attention to detail and growth
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, including general ledger entries and month-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies across all financial activities
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial operations with organizational goals
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts, maintaining accuracy and reliability in financial records
  • Develop and present reports to senior management on team performance and financial metrics
  • Participate in audits and ensure readiness for external and internal reviews

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with a focus on AP and AR
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a high-volume manufacturing setting
  • Strong expertise in Shared Services operations and process improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing software tools and driving operational efficiencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders
