The Accounting Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the accounting department with a range of tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and basic financial analysis. This role involves processing invoices, assisting in month-end close procedures, and helping to generate financial reports. The Accounting Assistant contributes to maintaining accurate financial records and collaborates with team members to ensure compliance and efficient operations.
Job Responsibility:
Maintains financial records: They perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, & verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records such as costing, accounts payable, payroll, &/or travel & expenses
Preparing financial reports: They assist in preparing financial statements, budget reports, & other financial reports for management review
Conducting financial analysis: They may perform basic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, & potential areas of improvement
Requirements:
At least 2 years of related work experience
Bachelor's or University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
Demonstrating a solid technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the role
