Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our Rochester, NY client on a contract basis. This role requires a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, as well as the ability to manage transactional tasks and support process improvements. This is a fully onsite opportunity for approximately 2-3 months.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing
Assist with streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and eliminate redundancies
Provide transactional support, including coding invoices and performing check runs
Collaborate with clerks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations in invoice handling and payments
Manage (ACH) transactions and ensure compliance with financial regulations
Lead efforts to clean up existing systems and processes for improved functionality
Monitor and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments
Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes
Support team members with training and guidance on accounts payable tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable management or a similar role
Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in financial software and tools related to accounts payable
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Capability to work onsite with flexibility for hybrid arrangements
