We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New York, New York. This role will oversee and streamline the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements. The position requires leadership skills to manage a small team and the ability to maintain strong communication across departments.
Job Responsibility:
Direct and manage the accounts payable team, including providing guidance to two A/P Coordinators
Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including batching, month-end reconciliation, and ensuring cash availability with Treasury
Manage travel and expense (T& E) inquiries, providing clear communication and support to employees
Process and review 75-100 invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
Conduct coding of invoices, check runs, and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
Collaborate with the Bank of America platform for payment processing
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the accounts payable workflow
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable management, including oversight of a team
Proficiency in coding invoices and handling check runs
Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and payment processing
Ability to manage high volumes of invoices efficiently (75-100 per week)
Strong communication skills to address employee inquiries regarding T& E processes
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work on-site three days per week and commit to a regular work schedule
