We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and manage the full accounts payable cycle for a PE-backed firm. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, vendor payments, and compliance with financial policies. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, expertise in AP operations, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy for multi-locations.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the complete accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, approval, and payment processing
Ensure all vendor payments are made promptly through various methods such as checks, ACH transfers, and credit cards
Maintain and update vendor records, ensuring compliance with 1099 reporting requirements
Monitor accounts payable aging reports and resolve any discrepancies efficiently
Implement and enforce internal controls to uphold segregation of duties and financial security
Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and procedures, maintaining compliance at all times
Prepare necessary documentation to support audits and ensure financial transparency
Reconcile the accounts payable subledger with the general ledger using NetSuite
Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing accrual entries and reconciling accounts
Generate accounts payable aging and cash forecasting reports to support leadership and financial planning
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role with PE-backed environment
Proficiency in coding invoices and managing payment processes, including check runs and ACH transfers
Strong knowledge of accounts payable systems and processes
Experience with vendor management and maintaining accurate financial records
Familiarity with 1099 reporting requirements and compliance standards
Ability to reconcile accounts payable subledger to general ledger systems, preferably NetSuite
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies
Strong communication and organizational skills to support financial reporting and leadership requests
