We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our accounts payable department in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of payment processes, supervise a dedicated team, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing workflows, leveraging technology, and driving operational excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise daily operations of the accounts payable department, including managing team workflows and ensuring timely payment processing
Oversee full-cycle accounts payable activities, such as invoice processing, 3-way matching, vendor account reconciliation, and payment execution
Develop and nurture strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to support seamless operations
Ensure compliance with financial deadlines while delivering exceptional service to internal customers
Utilize technology and automation tools to enhance efficiency within accounts payable processes
Monitor vendor accounts to identify, address, and resolve any discrepancies promptly
Collaborate on the creation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
Train, mentor, and motivate the accounts payable team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Generate monthly and annual reports for management, providing insights into accounts payable performance
Support the annual audit process by preparing relevant documentation and assisting auditors as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with a preference for candidates with supervisory experience
Proven ability to lead and manage an accounts payable team and workflows for over 2 years
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools, including VLOOKUP, IF statements, and pivot tables
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
