Reporting directly to the Global AP Associate Director, you’ll lead a diverse team, safeguard financial accuracy, and ensure vendors are paid on time. Job Responsibility:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team
Coordinate workforce planning, capacity management, and follow‑the‑sun coverage with global AP teams
Build a culture of accountability, control, and continuous improvement
Own end‑to‑end payment cycles across UCAN, EMEA, and APAC, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Strengthen cash flow management by improving VPPT and POT while minimizing early payments
Maintain a robust payment control framework with clear approvals, segregation of duties, and audit evidence
Partner with Treasury on funding, FX settlements, and liquidity optimization
Safeguard AP sub‑ledger integrity and ensure accurate GL tie‑outs
Lead AP month‑end close activities, ensuring timely reporting and risk‑free outcomes
Lead AP reconciliations in BlackLine, resolving aged items at root cause
Support audits, statutory reporting, and tax compliance (VAT/GST/WHT)
Drive process standardization and eliminate unnecessary regional variations
Champion automation and continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma tools
Prepare reporting packages and deliver insights that shape leadership decisions
Flex working hours during key periods such as payment cycles and month‑end close
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred)
5+ years of people management experience in Accounts Payable or related functions
Strong expertise in AP processes, accounting principles, and compliance frameworks (US GAAP/IFRS, SOX, indirect tax)
Shown success in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma experience valued)
Ability to operate independently and guide others in complex scenarios
Solid knowledge of change management and transition handling
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage team members globally
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to meet tight deadlines
Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic, evolving environment
Collaboration skills to inspire change and influence across teams
Understanding of internal controls, particularly SOX within the P2P cycle
