The Accounts Payable & GL Accountant is responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Job Responsibility

  • Review, process, and code high-volume vendor invoices accurately
  • Prepare and execute bank wire transfers and manage petty cash
  • Perform monthly AP reconciliations and general ledger entries
  • Support weekly cash flow forecasting and month-end closing tasks
  • Assist with variable tax filings and internal/external audits
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize AP controls and tools

Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Fluent Japanese and intermediate English (TOEIC 700+)
  • Solid knowledge of local tax regulations and accounting practices
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle
  • Experience utilizing COUPA software for procurement or AP
  • Strong multitasking, organization, and analytical skills
