Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Clarkston, Michigan. This position offers a contract-to-permanent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who excels in managing high-volume invoice processing and ensuring financial data accuracy. The role requires strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities to collaborate with various departments and external partners.

Job Responsibility:

Process and issue customer invoices promptly on a daily basis
Handle customer returns and ensure proper documentation
Electronically file shipping records after completing customer invoicing
Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve billing discrepancies
Verify the accuracy of billing information and correct any errors
Maintain and update the daily sales log, including month-end reporting
Support investigations and posting of inventory adjustments
Input freight invoices and ensure timely data entry
Coordinate with carriers to obtain missing invoices and resolve related issues
Undertake additional tasks or projects as assigned to support the department

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable within a high-volume environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with intermediate-level skills
Strong oral and written communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
Familiarity with accounts payable processes, including check runs and expense reporting
Experience with Concur or similar expense management systems
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors
