Job Description:

Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team on a contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this Accounts Payable Clerk role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This Accounts Payable Clerk position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, experience in accounts payable, and a strong grasp of accounting systems.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately process and code invoices to ensure proper documentation
Perform routine check runs and issue payments in a timely manner
Reconcile vendor accounts to resolve discrepancies and maintain accuracy
Organize and maintain financial records for easy retrieval and auditing
Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support during audits
Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline payment processes
Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and issues
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
coursework in accounting is a plus
Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role
Proficiency in data entry and exceptional attention to detail
Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis
Ability to perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams
Knowledge of check runs and invoice coding processes
