Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities and a keen eye for accuracy while working on-site.

Job Responsibility:

Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate payment records
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Perform data entry tasks to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
Code invoices correctly to align with company standards and policies
Handle check runs and ensure payments are processed efficiently
Collaborate with team members to support the accounts payable function
Utilize Excel for tracking and reporting financial data
Work with Great Plains Dynamics to manage accounting tasks effectively
Assist in preparing financial documentation and reports as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable or a related field is preferred
Familiarity with invoice processing and coding procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
Experience with Great Plains Dynamics is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks
Ability to reconcile accounts and address discrepancies
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
