Job Description:

This long-term contract position involves managing key aspects of the accounts payable cycle, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining organized records. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Responsibility:

Handle the complete accounts payable cycle, including matching, batching, and coding invoices
Reconcile outstanding invoices with general ledger accounts during month-end reporting
Ensure timely and accurate processing of check runs and payments
Maintain detailed and organized financial records for auditing purposes
Utilize accounting systems such as JD Edwards, AS400, or similar platforms to manage transactions
Perform data entry and coding of invoices with precision and efficiency
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow processes
Support the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities
Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable roles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
Familiarity with accounting systems such as JD Edwards, AS400, or comparable platforms
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial processes
Proven ability to manage high volumes of invoices and payments efficiently
Experience with reconciliation and month-end reporting
Knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP is advantageous
Excellent organizational and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
