Job Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and organized Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk to support our financial operations on a contract basis. This position is based in Fresno, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the accounts payable processes in an agriculture-focused organization. The role is only 3-days a week with 5-6hrs per day. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Famous Software and a strong background in handling financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately process accounts payable transactions using Famous Software
Review invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests to verify accuracy and proper authorization
Manage vendor accounts by maintaining records and reconciling statements
Prepare and execute electronic transfers and payment processes promptly
Monitor account balances to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies as needed
Assist in month-end closing activities and generate financial reports
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address issues or inquiries effectively
Uphold confidentiality of financial information and compliance with company policies

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role, preferably within the agriculture industry
Proficiency in Famous Software or comparable accounting platforms
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial tasks
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
Associate degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
