Job Description:

Robert Half is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Middlesex County, NJ area. As an Accounts Payable clerk, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including accounts payable functions, invoice processing, reconciliation, and more! If you have 1+ years of Accounts Payable experience, this might be the opportunity for you!

Job Responsibility:

Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper documentation is attached
Process invoices efficiently using accounting software
Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions for audit and compliance purposes
Assist with data entry tasks, ensuring all financial information is accurately recorded
Manage spreadsheet tasks and reconcile accounts using Microsoft Excel
Handle coding of invoices and ensure proper categorization within the accounting system
Conduct check runs and monitor payment schedules to meet deadlines
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in accounts payable processes
Provide support for account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial data

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role
Proficiency in using accounting software
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet management and data analysis
Ability to process invoices and manage documentation with high attention to detail
Familiarity with coding invoices and account reconciliation practices
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Business casual attire required for on-site work
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
