Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in Troy, NY. The role involves accounts payable processes, vendor statement reviews, inquiry resolution, monthly closures, and delivering customer service. The candidate should be detail-oriented, reliable, and team-oriented with relevant experience.

Job Responsibility:

Process biweekly check runs from invoice receipt through payment and filing
Conduct monthly reviews of vendor statements to ensure account accuracy
Investigate and respond promptly to all accounts payable inquiries
Support monthly closing procedures and assist with audits as needed
Monitor and manage all AP documentation including invoices, correspondence, and vendor communications
Deliver exceptional customer service to internal departments (faculty, staff, students) and external vendors
Continuously seek ways to enhance and improve the payment process

Requirements:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounts payable experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Solid understanding of accounts payable and general accounting principles
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues and vendors
