Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Long Beach, California. This position is ideal for professionals with expertise in Oracle NetSuite and a strong background in managing accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial operations within our healthcare organization.

Job Responsibility:

Process and accurately code vendor invoices using Oracle NetSuite
Match invoices with purchase orders and receipt data to confirm proper approvals and documentation
Reconcile vendor statements and promptly resolve any discrepancies
Schedule and execute regular payment runs while maintaining comprehensive records
Monitor and update the accounts payable ledger to ensure accurate transaction posting
Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting tasks
Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries, invoice issues, and account balances
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards
Provide support during audits or financial reporting processes related to accounts payable
Identify and propose process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency within the AP function.

Requirements:

Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar position
Hands-on expertise in Oracle NetSuite, particularly in its accounts payable module
Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures, general ledger coding, and vendor management
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
An associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
Familiarity with high-volume accounts payable environments and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a plus.
