Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization by ensuring accurate and efficient management of vendor accounts. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts payable processes and a detail-oriented mindset to maintain compliance and streamline operations.

Job Responsibility:

Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies
Process invoices by coding and entering them into the accounting system
Conduct check runs and ensure timely payment to vendors
Maintain vendor files and update records with correct and current information
Manage vendor relationships by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
Perform data entry tasks to update and clean the master vendor list
Identify and eliminate duplicate vendor entries in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
Make direct phone calls to vendors to verify information and ensure compliance
Collaborate with team members to enhance accounts payable workflows
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel for daily operations

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable and vendor management
Proficiency in accounting software such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle
Strong skills in data entry and invoice processing
Ability to reconcile accounts and perform check runs accurately
Familiarity with maintaining vendor files and managing multiple vendor accounts
Excellent communication skills, including phone correspondence
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and correct errors in financial records
