Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for managing invoice processing, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. Job Responsibility:

Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Manage payments to multiple vendors, including subcontractors, material suppliers, and service providers
Handle sales and use tax calculations as part of invoice processing tasks
Maintain and update records in accounting software, including EpiCor and Spectrum
Collaborate with the purchasing manager and accounting team to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations
Ensure all invoices are entered and finalized by month-end deadlines
Review invoices for accuracy and completeness, addressing any issues promptly
Assist with printing checks and managing remote desktop systems as needed
Support the team during busy periods, especially Mondays when invoice volumes are higher
Follow a business casual dress code, with flexibility for jeans when appropriate

Requirements:

Previous experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles
Familiarity with construction or manufacturing software such as EpiCor and Spectrum
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite applications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills, with the ability to be both friendly and assertive
Ability to work on-site, with potential for hybrid remote work after 90 days

Nice to have:

Preferred but not required: educational background in accounting or finance
Comfortable handling a variety of invoices, including subcontractor pay applications and utility bills
