We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an opportunity to grow within the organization while contributing to essential financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in managing accounts payable tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Process and approve invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Perform three-way matching for purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
Prepare and submit sales tax returns in compliance with state regulations
Handle credit card and check payment processing efficiently
Reconcile prepaid accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations
Support monthly and annual financial close processes
Verify and update vendor information in the accounting system
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role
Proficiency in performing three-way matching for invoices
Knowledge of sales tax regulations and experience in preparing returns
Familiarity with credit card and check payment processing
Ability to reconcile prepaid accounts and ensure financial accuracy
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Competency in using accounting software and tools
Excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams
