Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team in the Construction industry, located in Whitby. This is a part-time role requiring 15-20 hours per week with a 12-month contract and potential for extension.

Job Responsibility:

Review, code, and process a high volume of vendor invoices in ERP accurately
Prepare and execute timely payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers
Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers, vendor statements, and bank accounts regularly
Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries and disputes
Ensure accounts payable processes comply with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate documentation
Generate and analyze accounts payable reports in ERP to monitor payment cycles and cash flow
Identify and implement improvements to streamline accounts payable processes
Assist in the month-end closing process with accounts payable-related journal entries and reports
Collaborate with finance, procurement, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience processing full-cycle accounts payable
Experience with MS Excel including (v/h/xlookups, pivot tables, formulas)
Previous experience working in a similar industry is an asset
Must be willing to work part-time hours, minimum 2 days per week (weekdays only).
