Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Midland, Texas. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the oil and gas field services industry through your expertise in managing accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will excel in handling high-volume data entry and maintaining accuracy in invoice processing while supporting the overall financial operations.

Job Responsibility:

Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies
conduct high-volume data entry with precision and attention to detail
reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies
manage check runs and prepare payments in a timely manner
utilize systems such as Ariba, Open Invoice, and SAP to streamline payable processes
collaborate with vendors and internal departments to address invoice-related queries
ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly accounts payable
maintain organized records and support audits as required
assist in optimizing accounts payable procedures to improve efficiency.

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and reconciliation
proficiency in data entry with a focus on numeric accuracy and high-volume tasks
familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel
knowledge of systems like Ariba and Open Invoice is highly preferred
strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with vendors and team members
ability to adapt to evolving processes and systems
high attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of systems like Ariba and Open Invoice
familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.
