Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Bronx, New York. This long-term contract role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounts payable processes and a keen eye for accuracy. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment while ensuring smooth financial operations.

Job Responsibility:

Process invoices on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
Manage and reconcile AMEX bills, maintaining organized records and resolving discrepancies
Prepare and issue checks in a timely manner to support vendor and supplier payments
Maintain detailed and accurate financial records for auditing and reporting purposes
Collaborate with internal teams to address any payment-related inquiries or issues
Utilize Sage software for data entry
Monitor accounts payable processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company procedures

Requirements:

A minimum of 1 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role
Proficiency in processing invoices, managing billing systems, and issuing payments
Familiarity with Sage MAS 90 software is strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial tasks
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines effectively
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and resolve issues
Knowledge of basic financial principles and relevant regulations
