We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support a manufacturing organization in Cincinnati, Ohio through a Contract assignment. This position is ideal for someone who can manage high-volume invoice activity, maintain accurate financial records, and help keep payment operations running smoothly. The role will work closely with accounting and internal business partners to ensure timely processing, reliable reconciliation, and strong administrative accuracy.
Job Responsibility:
Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately while confirming supporting documentation is complete and aligned with company procedures
Process accounts payable transactions in a timely manner to help maintain organized records and consistent payment schedules
Prepare and assist with check runs, ensuring disbursements are handled accurately and according to approved timelines
Reconcile vendor statements and internal accounts to identify discrepancies, research issues, and support prompt resolution
Maintain precise data entry across payable records, invoice details, and payment information to support financial accuracy
Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding invoice questions, payment status, and account issues as needed
Organize accounts payable files and documentation so records remain accessible, current, and audit-ready
Use Microsoft Excel to track payment activity, support reporting needs, and assist with account analysis
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support position
Practical experience with account reconciliation, invoice processing, and day-to-day accounts payable activities
Ability to code invoices accurately and manage check run support with strong attention to detail
Solid data entry skills with a consistent focus on accuracy and timeliness
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, organizing, and reviewing financial information
Strong organizational and communication skills to manage priorities and interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining dependable quality and follow-through
