Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing invoice processing, coding, and payment execution. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization.

Job Responsibility:

Process invoices accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies
Verify and code invoices for proper accounting and tracking purposes
Prepare and execute check runs to meet payment deadlines
Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions
Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments
Monitor and reconcile accounts payable reports to ensure accuracy
Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable
Communicate with internal departments to address invoice or payment-related inquiries
Support continuous improvement efforts within the accounts payable process

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role
Strong knowledge of invoice processing and coding practices
Familiarity with preparing and executing check runs
Proficiency in using accounting software and tools
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy
