Job Description:

Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Biddeford, Maine. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within a university setting.

Job Responsibility:

Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to organizational policies
Perform electronic filing and ensure proper documentation of financial records
Enter data into Banner software and other systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Utilize SharePoint for document management and team collaboration
Handle email correspondence professionally, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Collaborate with the manager and four staff members to ensure seamless departmental operations
Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information
Monitor and reconcile accounts to identify discrepancies and take corrective action as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role
Proficiency in Banner software or similar platforms
Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with SharePoint for document sharing and collaboration
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for precise and clear email correspondence
Ability to work effectively in an in-office setting, Monday through Friday
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
